Pi4 Firmware Updates Continue to Improve Cooling
The power-packed Pi 4 generates more heat than previous models, and even before users see firmware warnings about the heat load, they can be concerned. The Raspberry Pi Foundation has now released two firmware updates that both reduce power consumption and heat generation, and now a third update is in the works.
Seeed Studios has written it up perfectly, including charts comparing the power draw for different firmware versions. Check out the article, and follow its instructions to ensure your firmware is up to date for the coolest performance!
Products like the Pimoroni Fan Shim are also an excellent way to cool your Pi, as long as your case has some ventilation slots.
