CR-6 SE 6 months later
After using this printer regularly since January 2021, I am totally happy with it. Ive at least 2 spools of PLA so far and havent had a single problem with the printer. This is my first 3d printer and I was quite surprised at the quality (smoothness) and precision of the prints. Ive only had problems with bed adhesion when i didn't clean the bed first (rubbing alcohol). The automatic bed leveling seems to work fine - Ive printed some high precision prints and never had a problem with level. There are a couple of firmware patches that I applied without problem. But you need to carefully follow directions to update both the display and the embedded Arduino Mega 256. Oh and it's quiet too. Ive actually had it beside my bed and slept through qn overnight print! I started using OctoPrint instead of shuffling SD cards and have never looked back! I also converted to using the latest Cura slicer (9.10 as of today) and abandoned the custom Creality/Cura slicer that came with the printer. I prefer to print smaller designs as to whole process is very slow and can be frustrating if you discover a flaw at the end of a long print. So I'm glad I didn't buy a larger printer! I tried several modelling applications but settled on the free version of Fusion 360. There's quite a learning curve but the time invested is paying off in my ability to design and print whatever I can imagine. This is definitely a fun tool that can produce quality prints.
