Do not buy for Pi-Aware!
The item description mentions that this device is suitable for projects such as FlightAware's Pi-Aware (ADS-B receiver). It is NOT! It uses the FC0012 Tuner instead of the more suitable R820T / R820T2. As such, it is incompatible with the 1090 mhz frequency as evidenced by this line returned by dump1090-fa:
[FC0012] no valid PLL combination found for 1090000000 Hz!
If you are seeking anything more than basic FM radio, this device will not suit your needs. Look for the Adafruit RTL-SDR also sold on this site instead. It features the more capable R820T tuner.
